Probably, because we are looking for some long period writing. Wll, here is a brief but important nugget of a story entitled CHRISTIAN BRAVE INDIAN NAME "NEKILIKIN" The true story of an Indian Brave who was baptized by the Black Robes even though he had never seen white man before. Thereafter, he received what he interpreted as a sign from God that he should move from the Entiat to Lake Chellan Valey. Shortly thereafter an true to the word he received, an earthquake struck his old home. Soon, in new found land, he found an old store and bought it. He and his son, then tore it down piece by piece, dragging the wood piece by piece behind Indian Ponies – no road – no briges, no wagons but faith existed and the building was rebuilt and called Chief John’s Church and served the natives of the area for many years. There were many a western story published – the common ones about Cowboys and Indians are listed on Ebay every day but the rarer ones about the Nuggets of the old West are seldom found. Collectors treasure them and their price guide value rises every day. They are hard to find. I hunt them out because really the better, untold and rarer stories were published in the rest. Here’s one of ‘em. Following my retirement, I have dedicated my remaining hours to indexing the Genealogy of our western heroes. During my research, I discovered that thousands of our kinfolk lay unfound and unrecognized on some book dealer’s shelf gathering dust. Because Old Western History and Memorabilia was printed before computer indexing, I index every item I sell. This complete index will be bound and included in this offering at no additional cost. Humbly, I am trying to keep our history alive. I hope you appreciate the effort. CHRISTIAN BRAVE By Dagny Tinkey Sooner or later - Genealogists are going to realize that their family kinfolks are laying on some dealer's dusty shelves. If I can contribute to finding one little name or photo of that long lost ancestor you have been waiting to find, - its worth all the time I spend. It’s a shame that our past is being lost. It’s as simple as that. As clearly stated in my description, this is featured story in a rarely found and seldom read unusual and complete western magazine. I don't give out name of publication or date because I have caught competitors copying my index and work and trying to sell it as theirs. I hope you understand.
